PHILOMATH COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONThe Philomath Community Foundation was formed at the request of local citizens who saw the need for a local foundation that could receive grants, gifts endowments and trusts that would be used for community improvements and projects that would benefit the citizens of the greater Philomath area. The Community Response Team (CRT) formed in the early 1990's and Philomath Project Year 2000 committee decided through a series of meetings to utilize the existing non-profit status of the Philomath 2000 organization and change the name to the Philomath Community foundation. New by-laws were established by modifying the existing mission and purpose statement and changing the executive structure. The nine member Board began meeting in 1999 and has successfully transformed into a well organized funding agency for various projects serving many different segments of the volunteer groups in Philomath.
